Sat this over on Kickstarter and thought it looked fun, especially if you are into pulp sci-fi:

I would have just preferred the ship model without the dice tray.

Well, the ship comes separate from the base plate. Now, if there were covers for the cockpit and portholes…

Yep add covers for the cockpit and portholds and I am in.

The kickstarter campaign didn't make, but the Retro Spaceship dice tower is available at: link

I purchased one, and have some reflections on my purchase here: link

I think that looks great and it "would" be a great novelty extra for something like "War Rocket" or like games. BUT..
its not $50 USD cool (w/ S&H).

Same reason I just cant get into SW Armada; "one" Imp. SD, $49.99 USD. Not going to happen.

Thanks, Chris!

Haven't convinced myself, especially as I'm concerned about how rugged printed stuff is, but I hadn't realized he was responsible for the Star Frontiers Network.

I admire his effort there. Hmm…

I received mine about a week ago and have been using it ever since.

I purchased the large centered-on-launch pad version, gray rocket, white dice tray. It's actually pretty sturdy and stable on the table.

The only issue I've had with it is the dice have a tendency to fall through the tower pretty quickly and bounce off the final "cone" at the bottom pretty hard so that they bounce out of or miss the dice tray completely. I taped a couple of strips of paper over each opening to eliminate the problem.

Larger dice might not have this issue. In any event, I'm happy with the product.

Regards,

Scott Chisholm
