Been painting for about year now on a large batch of Romans and Successors from Aventine Miniatures. I have not been on here do to a divorce that almost destroyed my me. I am getting a little better and thought I would share my progress. These miniatures are only about 75 percent complete. I have been painting all through my divorce to help make it through it….so I have been painting about a year on these.

All of the miniatures are from Aventine Miniatures and they are very nice minis.

Looks good – very neat and tidy

I find painting to be very therapeutic – good luck with everything

Very clean brush work!

Very nice indeed. I love the look of successor armies.

Very nice – and lots of them too. I can only stand the idea of painting a unit at a time, and even then I do them in batches. I have seen others do the same as you with entire 15mm armies, but this is impressive with 28mm!

Great looking stuff Tom, really looks like a "mass" of pikes.

Every time you make a post I think to myself "I want to play at his house".

Very nice! I also just saw you and your daughter's Pompeii project on your blog! Absolutely stunning work!

To give you guys a hint of how cool this is:

Can I ask – how did you do the fire effect inside the cotton smoke? Was that a light or paint?
