The question is in the title. I have 5 figures from Caesar Miniatures plastic set "Urban Resisters" that are carrying PKM machine guns, but the sculptor forgot to add ammo drums to the guns. The sight of the figures dry-firing the guns bugs me, so I want to add ammo drums.

Does anyone have a suggestion on how to make tiny ammo drums? Sculpt them out of green stuff?

They look to me like rounded oblongs, so if I were doing it, I'd use Evergreen plastic stock, perhaps sanding the corners.

Thanks for responding. Is the Evergreen plastic stock the HO scale strips? Or perhaps the rectangular tubing?

Well, the HO scale strips are scale 1'x2', which seems a little large, but pretty close. After sanding ir should be pretty close, although I am not sure of the exact dimensions of the 100 round mag.

Evergreen also has strips that are just given by millimeter/imperial measurement. The strips will be long, 10 inches? But if you know the real size, of the ammo box, you can find a strip close enough

I plan to use ammo boxes with a gentle sanding/cutting on one side from Hasegawa's US Combat Patrol kit.

Evergreen does make plastic rod and tube, not just strips.

Looks like the big "drum" (rectangular steel box that holds a belt) is about 8x16x4", with rounded corners:

Assuming that those are 12" tiles, of course.

I just found specs for a different version that holds 300+ rounds, it's 12.25"x4x5"x5.75": link
