I recently tried to buy a set of rules, but the author's site only sold supplements to his rules, not the rules themselves. I emailed him and he sent me to another site, but they were out of stock. Maybe he had some kind of falling out with his exclusive distributor but was still legally bound to only sell them through him? I have no idea, but it was not a very helpful or ecnouraging exchange.
The above story is not about my original post starting this thread, but n occurance from about a week before. What a hobby!!!

Yes, particularly if the site demonstrates a lack of care (e.g. spelling mistakes, poor grammar): I interpret this as reflecting on the level of customer service and possibly the quality of the products.

Yes, regrettably so.
really wanted to order some figures from a US company but simply couldn't get past the pre-set, embedded 'State' code.
Well, an American friend ordered them for me in the end.

And I refused to complete another US order when finding out that the shipping cost for a 85$ order would be another 80$!

Willie whT on earth were you ordering?

Yes. Just today in fact. A magazine's website is unbearable.
