I reviewed Victrix's Warriors of Carthage set a while back. TMP link TMP user McWong73 asked if I could post up a comparison of the A&A, Crusader and Victrix ranges. It's taken a while due to arduous shipping delays from Caliver Books, but it's now up on my blog: link link |

You da man! Superb comparison piece to boot. Having a pile of both A&A and Crusader Punics I completely agree with your views on the A&A range. |

Very useful review thanks. I am hoping Victrix will follow through and produce Commanders (recent thought bubble on their Facebook page). Relic's larger (32mm) mounted Carthaginian Commander and Standard Bearer come up well. I lost about 50% of my A&A feathers. Much prefer Crusader's separate heads and bubble packs. Have ordered Agema's Campanian hoplites – hope Crusader's Command pack will suit them. |

@McWong73 Yer welcome. Look forward to seeing you put yours together. @Mithridates I'd be interested to see what Victrix comes up with in terms of a general's pack. As I've mentioned before, the crispness of their sculpts does make it a challenge to find matching metal ranges. Their rendering technology could conceivably knock out a good likeness for Scipio, which is still lacking in the market. I just received my Relic Hannibal today. He's a lovely figure though much leaner than the A&A/Crusader/Foundry/Victrix figures. I may have to figure out some tricks with forcing perspective if he's going to blend in. I was very lucky with my A&A Samnite feathers. Out of 34 minis, only 4 lost a single feather. Hopefully I can repair the damage without drilling and pinning. |
