"Imperial Skies Fleets" Topic

Now that the rules are out there and people are slowly getting them I was curious as to what Fleets people have and how many ships overall that you have.

For myself I won't go into full details since I need to do Fleet recount soon but here's what I can tell you now.

First off I have Fleets from the following Nations:

United States
Great Britain
Germany
France
Russia
Japan
Austria-Hungary
Italy
Turkey
Peru
Chile
Brazil
Netherlands
Belgium
Argentina
Luxembourg
Switzerland

So that's 17 Nations plus the Pirates now the only Fleet I have no ships from is the Scandinavian Union(I don't like the ships)in addition I also have some Merchantmen.

Now I've been doing this for several years now and after buying minis direct from Brigade and also buying peoples collections here and there I've amassed quite a collection but I can tell you that I have over 1,000 ships right now.

Now some of you might ask why do I have such a large number of Aeronef minis and I can tell you.

The reason is quite simple and I've done this before with other Naval collections I have what I do is make sure that I have enough ships to cover almost any type of game be it large or small and if I have a number of friends over they won't have to bring anything with them.

So I cover all the bases when it comes to that.

Once I go thru and complete my recount I'll let you know what I have,but I have to wait until I make an order from Brigade because I need to get a few more things.

So what do you have?

All told I probably have 200 ships.

My son has Americans and Japanese.

I just received an order from Brigade Models and have started painting my new fleets.

German – The grand fleet pack plus additional small ships – ~30 ships
French – The grand fleet pack plus additional small ships – ~30 ships
Turkey – A battleship ship and a some small ships – ~13 ships (a friend has some that these will be combined with)

I also got quite a few merchant ships for use in scenarios and as scenery.

sean68333 you got some good stuff there.

Of all my fleets my British are the largest with 189 ships and close behind them are the Germans with 152 ships.

But those numbers don't include some of the newer minis which I got recently.

Collected ships for a Boxer Rebellion game using Land Ironclads and Aeronef. Not sure if I will buy Imperial Skies as I am quite satisfied with Aeronef.

British (Brigade)
US (Brigade and a bunch of modified ACW Ironclads of various manufacture)
French (Brigade and a couple of the Wessex models)
China (modified Irregular models)
Japan (Brigade)
Germany (Brigade and some modified Houstons ships
Italian (Brigade)

I bought into the Imperial Skies KickStarter and went for the Japanese and Russian fleets, not painted them yet but really like the look of the models

I also like the Japanese and Russians ships as well it's very hard to pick my favorite Fleet/Fleets but I think 2 of my top favorite Fleets have to be the French and Italians.

Painted Brigade? Hawaii. Made from US and old sculpts of French.

I assume Sean is properly counting my Turks in his fleet.

Someday, Austro-Italian starter, and Japanese.

Do have some painted 1889 that can proxy. Many other scratchbuilts, as I decide…

Sir you may have more ships, and I hope painted, than some of these countries had as wet navies. Well done I think. :-)

jony663 it's a mixed bag when it comes to painted ships.

Most of my German,Italians,Austrians,Americans and Turks are painted while most of the other Nations are a mix of painted and primed but I have enough painted ships to do a decent game.

With regards to my collection people have called me many things some nicer than others but I have my ships and that's all that matters.

Doug it's funny you mentioned Space Fleets as I have a fair number of them as well.

My StarBlazers collection has over 500 ships from 4 races and the bulk of them are painted and I'm very pleased with them since StarBlazers aka Space Battleship Yamato is my favorite Japanese Anime.

And I also have a good number of FASA Star Trek minis as well.
