Looks great. I always wondered why so,much space between each other? Ok they'd be in some sort of " American order" but still, as for us space on the table is a scarce ressource and it give the ground scale. |

North American fields are full of clods, clumps, cowpies, rocks and all sorts of undergrowth. It would be hard to keep a close order. Space, for me, is not a problem, so I am fine there. And finally, I'm not a gamer. I'm not bound by rules or game positioning. |

Looks like Lord Cornwallis' worst nightmare approaching. |

Anybody here with a relative that served in a militia in the South. I'm open to any names of units or companies. |

How about naming your units after communities adjacent to Cowpens, South Carolina? -- The Boiling Springs militia company -- The Zion Hill militia company -- The Cherokee Springs militia company -- The Inman Hills militia company The regiment commanded by Colonel Benjamin Martin, with Lieutenant Foghorn Leghorn as aide-de-camp? |

"Anybody here with a relative that served in a militia in the South." "I'm open to any names of units or companies." One of my ancestors reportedly served in the "Flower Swift Militia Company of Montgomery County, VA. |

Tory I actually looked into that, but it seems thst they spent more time fighting among themselves than with any enemy. Not enough action for me. |

Try www/carolana.com/SC/Revolution/revolution_patriots_militia_sc.html The site has the actual organization of the South Carolina (and North Carolina) militias at various times in the rebellion. This should help you select historically correct unit names. BTW be aware that Sumter and Pickens usually commanded multiple tactical militia units. |
