Now attempting to paint a building I got in 15mm for my SYW campaign from JR minis. The thing looks to be resin with some slimy coating on it. I tried acetone to remove, it sort of worked. Any other ideas to get this coating off prior to priming?

JR are often shiny. I use a good spary primer and have had no problems. I like the Krylon sprays myself.

I've used a soak in Simple Green + water (heavy on the Simple Green).

Just make sure it is resin – JR also did buildings in a dental plaster. I expect you're safe with 15mm though, it was the smaller stuff that was more likely to be in plaster.
