Found one thread here, but the conclusion didn't seem settled. Which would 2nd/3rd Italian infantry battalions have carried ~1813? My guess is that they'd have followed French practice?

In my Italian army only the 1st battalion has a standard(actually I do a regimental command stand) but I am not an "expert" but I have yet to read anything to the contrary

Osprey Men At Arms 077 – Flags Of The Napoleonic Wars (1) French & Allies says the following about Italian infantry regiments…

As in the French Army, there was supposedly one eagle per regiment but in fact almost every battalion appears to have carried an eagle above its flag.
