while surfing on the web i find those beautiful colour plates of 19 c. Vietnamese soldiers that fought also VS French..so a must for TSATF gamers that, as i discovered in a recent post, could also set wargame tables on this front.
there is also a reference of Paris Quay Branly Museum for the full book with the totality of plates..but i was unable to download it

Nice plates! I love the look of the Vietnamese troops, much more exciting than the Chinese uniforms for Sino-French war. Most of my native rifles have to be able to do double duty as Chinese or blackflags so they're a bit uninteresting to look at, but I've got 60 melee troops who will end up being the most colourful thing on the table.
