Hope someone can help with a flag question: When 2 or 3 battalions of the same British regiment were deployed in the field at the same time (Ex.: 3/27th Foot at Salamanca), did each battalion carry the identical King's and Colonel's Colours, or were there differences in the standards to distinguish the separate battalions? |

Well GMB designs does separate flag packs for each battalion so i guess the answer is there were differences. |

There were subtle differences which varied from regiment to regiment. Some had a Roman numeral, some had a flame in the corner and some had a 'banner' giving the battalion. I am afraid that you will have to research the specific regiment. |

It's a King's Colour and a REGIMENTAL colour, (not Colonel's) BTW. basically the Battalion's flags were identical from what I've been able to conclude |
