Tony Bath's Ancient Wargame is being recreated by no less than Phil Steel at the local wargaming show Reveille, Bristol on 27th November. The game will include the original figures as pictured in Don Featherstone's 1962 book War Games. Tony Bath started ancient wargaming and was the founder of the Society of Ancients. He was also a gentleman. There will also be a display of early semi flat figures and the first wargaming Trireme model as used by Tony and Don to create the first ancient naval game. I will of course be there selling a range of wargaming books. |
