Has anyone heard of the 1879 miniatures (and RPG) line from FASA? There seems to be a range of miniatures in 18mm to support the game, including British and a race called the Sumsut. I've not heard anything about this until today and was surprised to find no mention in TMP.

Here's a link:

I hadn't seen it before. Looking around the website I would guess the Sumsut are the "Babylonian descendants with weird-science technological zombies".

And Ral Partha Europe does have troops for both sides

Thanks. After posting I found the Ral Partha minis via the 1879 Kickstarter page which said the project had been pulled.

I'm curious to know if the rules were any good though.

As an update, I've bought a copy of these rules now, so I'll post later with my opinion.

Another update:

Rules arrived yesterday. Look pretty interesting. D10 based target numbers for most rolls, scenarios and campaign suggestions, system for making your own units. Simple rules to cover vehicles, flyers and gliders. Really looking forward to trying these out.

I have several packs of the Samsut.
Like them a lot.
The zombie with guns I use as Ming's Minions.

The ones with swords I use for blade elements for a Terracotta army like that in the Mummy 3.
And some on single bases for skirmishing.
My Mushkenites are also going to end up on Mongo but with blue skin.
Hope they expand the range.
