Which defunct sci-fi game would you like to see make a comeback via a Kickstarter? |
nukesnipe | 05 Nov 2016 8:39 p.m. PST |
Rivets. With minis. ;-) Regards, Scott Chisholm |

Well off the top of my head I would say 'supremacy' but I'm not sure if that's really sci-fi enough plus it already got successfully kickstarted at least a year ago. |

Renegade Legion I don't know if you would call it defunct but I sure would like to see it come back to the main stream |
Grizzly71 | 05 Nov 2016 8:54 p.m. PST |
Renegade Legion (Interceptor, Centurion) Star Frontiers |
War Monkey | 05 Nov 2016 8:57 p.m. PST |
See great minds do think alike Grizzly and I post at the same time 8:54 PM I second Star Frontier! |

Renegade Legion Centurion and Interceptor would get my cash in a heartbeat, as would new versions of Confrontation and Rag'Narok (official, not the Confrontation Evo rules released by the Italians) based on the v3 rules, with new metal minis. |

Oh hey, a thread about Rogue Trader? How pleasant. ;) |

Nice to see all the love for Renegade Legion. |

Can't think of any that I used to play that was so fantastic it would absolutely need to be resurrected. Starship Troopers might have the best potential but it might be difficult to run to everyone's satisfaction. Especially since there would likely be incentive to do it as a miniatures board game ATM as they are the bees knees of the KS world. There is also of course Defiance which is not strictly any more defunct than years ago but arguably it's never been "funct" either so I suppose it counts. It's unlikely the game would catch on but if reasonably good quality miniatures from the art/concepts for the backstory armies could be produced for cheap (at least relative to perceived quality) they'd likely have enough cross-game appeal for modest returns. |

My vote also goes to Star Frontiers and Renegade Legion but I'd also love an updated Fasa Star Trek game with minis for all their designs and updated rules. |

I always thought Metamorphosis Alpha had a lot of potential. |

Chitin minigame. I always wanted that to be fleshed out. |
Random Die Roll | 06 Nov 2016 3:27 a.m. PST |
Star Frontiers Renegade Legion |

I'll second a FASA Star Trek update. I'd also like to see "The Creature That Ate Sheboygan" (on New Sheboygan perhaps, in the outer colonies, etc etc). Cheers! RC

Side vote for Vor Into the Maelstrom, though the brand seems to be cursed. |
JLA105 | 06 Nov 2016 11:08 a.m. PST |
Another vote for Renegade Legion/Centurion and Interceptor. |
GhostofRebeccaBlack | 06 Nov 2016 11:40 a.m. PST |
I want StarGrunt III. Tomorrow's War is good but it lacks some of SG's details. |
Gear Pilot | 06 Nov 2016 1:03 p.m. PST |
Leviathan/Renegade Legion/Interceptor – especially Leviathan with actual miniatures FASA Trek |
Dentatus | 06 Nov 2016 2:31 p.m. PST |
Another vote for VOR – Into the Maelstrom. I have good memories of that game. |
Zargon | 06 Nov 2016 5:12 p.m. PST |
I eleventysecond Star Frontiers (28 mm miniature skirmish with the original cool fluff but rules given a osprey reboot) Leviathan using plastic kit ships and Full Thrust rules specially for them, Renegade in 10-15 mm scale using new streamline of Star Grunt for battle group sized games (Star Grunt III?). I'd be happy if they don't destroy the backgrounds too much either. I'd be pretty broke after that. Rouge Trader? I'd just like updated book with modem rules for the older figures as well as the new oh and new ROBOTs for 40kiverce. By then I'd have no money for the year regarding gaming. |

Gear Pilot: Thanks! I was afraid there was no love for the not-Star Destroyers I so love. ;->= I agree that FT is probably the most malleable, but wish I could have gotten into Spartan's fleet game more. I think it has real potential for mass quantities of masses. And THAT would be a good game of Leviathan… Doug |

I don't see anything as needed, but Aeronautica Imperialis perhaps, and Buggybash. |

Renegade Legion/Centurion/Interceptor/etc Would probably have to do a simplified damage model for today's gamers (I'm rather partial to the HGBlitz system). Legions of Steel would probably be really popular, as it was a Miniatures Board Game much like Space Hulk (but with killer robots instead of killer xenomorphs). |

Rivets and Chitin, definitely. |
javelin98 | 07 Nov 2016 1:49 p.m. PST |
Striker II, with an official line of 15mm minis. |
Coelacanth1938 | 09 Nov 2016 12:36 a.m. PST |
Chitin with miniatures and maybe a few new units. |

A new Star Trek The Role-Playing Game, with an updated Star Trek Starship Combat Simulator with a complete line of character miniatures and starship miniatures – the entire game needs to be set in the Original Universe, not the J.J. Abrams cesspool. |
