…what would it be?

Nationality, period and scale.

Col Durnford05 Nov 2016 8:06 p.m. PST

I already have two in the wings. An early war French and a Romanian force both in 20mm.

skippy000105 Nov 2016 8:07 p.m. PST

Russian, early war.

Winston Smith05 Nov 2016 8:17 p.m. PST

I sold my Finns. I would start them again.

But for a new one I would do EW French, and Vichy and Free French.

Col Durnford05 Nov 2016 8:18 p.m. PST

That reminds me, I also have early war Russian standing by.

Silurian05 Nov 2016 8:42 p.m. PST

Polish, in 1/72. Lots of model kits available nowadays, not sure what company I'd choose for the troops yet.

Jamesonsafari05 Nov 2016 8:46 p.m. PST

Torn between 1939 Poles, 1940 French and 1941-42 Russians

In 15 mm.

But I have other projects on he go right now.

Jacques05 Nov 2016 8:58 p.m. PST

Early to mid war Romanian 1/72 (figures on the way !)

Still in the planning/research phase :
Early pacific – Japanese, Dutch, Australian and USA : all in 1/72 plastics except the Dutch.

Coyotepunc and Hatshepsuut05 Nov 2016 9:25 p.m. PST

Early Pacific Japanese in 28mm

bruntonboy05 Nov 2016 9:32 p.m. PST

Trick question that. What do you mean by start?
Start acquiring or start painting?

Immediate plans that I have not done any acquisitions for (if Girls und Panzer schools count as WW2 armies!):
15mm Polish (Bonple High School)
15mm Burmese (Tategoto High School)

And 10 other nationality schools with acquisitions and varying amounts of trimming and assembly begun, but not yet their painting. (Plus 3 with painting completed, and 3 with painting in progress as of this week.)

For actual WW2, when I get back around to these scales:

1/87 NWE Canadians to go with my Americans and Germans.

28mm:1/56 NWE Germans and NWE Americans to go with my Canadians.

Texas Jack06 Nov 2016 1:14 a.m. PST

1941 North Africa in 1/72, Germany, Britain and Italy.

Martin Rapier06 Nov 2016 1:38 a.m. PST

Brand new and not just adding to stuff?

Probably 15mm French.

But what I'll actually do is continue to expand my early war Germans, US and Russians. 15mm.

warwell06 Nov 2016 1:54 a.m. PST

Considering I don't have any WW2 armies and I play solo, I'd have to do both sides. So it would be 1944 Germans vs Americans.

I would do it in 3mm

Lee John Ayre06 Nov 2016 2:05 a.m. PST

15mm Hungarians (late war) but onmly if available in hard plastic. Unlikely to happen But I live in hope.

IanKHemm06 Nov 2016 2:27 a.m. PST

I'm starting WWII again after a long long hiatus.
Germans – mid war.

blacksmith06 Nov 2016 3:13 a.m. PST

I did it. Russian Front.

KTravlos06 Nov 2016 3:50 a.m. PST

I do not have an WW2 armies anymore. But I would like Greeks for 1940-1941, and Dutch for 1940, either in 15mm or 28mm.

Festerfest06 Nov 2016 4:04 a.m. PST

If anyone ever makes plastic M13/40s in 15mm I think I'd be into the desert war pretty quick.

FusilierDan Supporting Member of TMP06 Nov 2016 5:20 a.m. PST

dutch in the west indies.

Cerdic06 Nov 2016 5:32 a.m. PST

Early war British in 28mm

Western desert, British and Italian, in 6mm

Cosmic Reset06 Nov 2016 6:18 a.m. PST

Early war French in 15mm.

vtsaogames06 Nov 2016 6:28 a.m. PST

15mm Russians, followed by Germans and the US.

Lascaris06 Nov 2016 6:46 a.m. PST

Guadalcanal in 15mm. They're up after I finish 7YW, FPW, ww2 naval, 2nd afghan war brits…

parrskool06 Nov 2016 7:06 a.m. PST

early war French/BEF vs Germans in 20mm.

Weasel06 Nov 2016 7:16 a.m. PST

For clarification, the intent is "completely from scratch" as in buy new figures and then paint them up.

Norman D Landings06 Nov 2016 7:23 a.m. PST

Japs in 28mm. I'd keep 'em generic enough to do double duty fighting Brits in Burma & India, and Yanks in the Pacific.

basileus6606 Nov 2016 7:28 a.m. PST

French, Early War. 20mm.

PzGeneral06 Nov 2016 7:56 a.m. PST

EW French. 28mm

Personal logo Dye4minis Supporting Member of TMP06 Nov 2016 9:07 a.m. PST

Baccus 6mm US. I saw the Sherman at Crisis yesterday and it is evey bit as nice as GHQs and will be less expensive! Their infantry and vechicles are to scale with each other.

Florida Tory06 Nov 2016 11:11 a.m. PST

Canadians in late war northwest Europe, in 28mm.

Rich Bliss06 Nov 2016 2:05 p.m. PST

All my WWiI is in 20mm. My desert stuff is nearing completion. And by that I mean 2 German tank battalions, 2 Italian tank battalions, The entire British 7th armored division for operation Crusader, plus an Infantry regiment/ brigade for each of the major combatants. So, I've got to start on western front. first up, Guards Armoured and US paratroopers for Market Garden

redbanner414506 Nov 2016 3:48 p.m. PST

Fallschirmjaegers in 15mm

repaint06 Nov 2016 8:58 p.m. PST

EW French army sounds cool, 28mm for BA

Japanese army could be interesting too but finding opponents and terrain could be a pain.

Personal logo piper909 Supporting Member of TMP06 Nov 2016 10:40 p.m. PST

If I were to be involved in this, I'd opt for France 1940, if only because the woebegone French are such underdogs and the BEF is in a similar state, with antiquated equipment -- plus the Cameron Highlanders are still in the kilt!

daler240D07 Nov 2016 4:57 a.m. PST

I solo game, so it would have to be 2 armies. I'm thinking 1942 German and Soviet 6mm

John the Greater07 Nov 2016 7:41 a.m. PST

15mm Brazilians for the Italian campaign.

15mm Thai, perhaps, if I could convince someone to do French.

wrgmr107 Nov 2016 5:07 p.m. PST

Germans early war in 20mm. I already have Normandy Canadians and Germans.

Wargamer Blue21 Nov 2016 8:31 p.m. PST

Vichy French 28mm
