It was suggested that now Warlord Games have secured the Doctor Who licence, other manufacturers of not-Who figures would be forced to stop making them.

I noted on a recent visit to both the Crooked Dice and Heresy sites that their previous Who-inspired figures are no longer listed and neither site had an explanation, nor could I find any info online.

Anyone got any solid news on this?

From what I understand it's as you suspect.

Interesting that Black Tree are still selling their Doctor Who figures.

Black Tree's are licensed, on a "until stocks are exhausted" type of deal.

Thanks Norrins. All is now clear. To be frank, from what i've seen of the Warlord figures so far, I'm not impressed. For the price point per figure, I was expecting 'definitive' versions of the characters. The Zygons look okay, but the Doctors and their companions are so-so. As for the Judoon, I've always thought they were daft anyway.

A pity Crooked Dice pulled their excellent Jon Pertwee figure; I was just about to put a £60.00 GBP+ order in, but canned it because that was the one figure that was a must have for me. I too am underwhelmed by Warlord's offerings.
