We played our annual Kursk I Ain't Been Shot Mum game recently. This one was based on action east of Ponyri station on July 8. The Germans have captured the former Soviet positions on 226.5 and are just about to be assaulted by the 3rd Tank Corps.
We had several new players to IABSM with the usual issues. The biggest seems to be the inability to get their heads around a 1/300 ground scale.

A chance to use my Ferdinands at least.

For the aircraft, a local guy gets them in WSF.

They can be a little grainy, so you need to prime them well and heavily to help smooth that out a bit, since otherwise the material soaks up a lot of paint too.

Nice looking Ferdinands. Good to see them win one for a change.
