Why would there be Dark Angels banners in an Ultramarine thread? ;) Nice work on the banners but it seems a lot of work when you have GW's permission to photocopythe originals.

So much talent. And time. And Mithmee…no way. Ultramarines all the way. Why do I say that? Because I'm old enough to remember 2nd edition, when "Ultramarines" meant "generic Space Marines". No chapter-specific special rules, and no overly ridiculous characters. Can't say the same for Dark Angels back then… My first RT-era 40K army was beaky Ultramarines. Still have a soft spot for them (and all the miniatures).

Piper, Actually the Dark Angels didn't really have any Chapter special rules like the Blood Angels or Space Wolves had back than. Plus their Special Characters were not that great and I never used them anyway. Much preferred to create my own Characters since they would be far cheaper than the Special Characters, thus giving me more points for the troops.
