After a few years away from the paint brush (and this board), I've finally got around to some painting. This is my latest unit, the Brunswick Infantry regiment Imhoff. I've painted this unit in their earlier uniform (based on a print in the Royal Collection). The figures are all 28 mm from Crusader. The flags are home made based upon what little info I could find on the early Brunswick standards.

I know that the bases maybe a little thicker than some like, but believe me I need them like that. It also allows me to label the unit.
Hope you like them.

BTW, these photos were my first attempt at photographing figures using my phone. I'm hoping to improve in the future.

Welcome back! Your figures are beautiful. Love the flags, too.

How did you do the designs on the flags? Handpainting or was it a scan and print process? They look good.

Very nice, both figures and flags!

It took me a while to do these, as I started them a couple years back and stopped. In the mean time I purchased a new computer with new software. My old graphics package wouldn't work on the new operating system and I had no idea how to work the graphics package on the new computer. So a few days were spent "playing" with the new software.
I did the flags through a combination of photo shop, graphic software, and hand painting. I would do what I could on the computer, print out , paint some parts, scan it back in and work some more (had a pile of papers with half finished flags on them every where). Once I got everything together, I scanned it and printed what you see. I now have the templates stored so I can do more or use parts for other colors.

I should also point out that the nice thing about using a computer for the flags is I can change the scale. The original piece was more than twice the size of the finished work. While working on it I can also magnify it to see details clearer.

Here are a couple of the French flags I've made. The figures are Old Glory"s that I originally had for F&I but reworked a while back for by 7YW armies
