More pictures of my Niagara 1814 collection. This time guns, crews and how I organize my table top batteries. I have a soft spot for artillery. Possibly all the years of training crews in black powder artillery for the NPS. In addition to posting pictures of Towson's battery 1814 I have also given some of my research on American Artillery in 1812. Hope you enjoy it! link |

An excellent effort. I really enjoy following your steady progression of this most interesting campaign. While following, I am also constantly comparing yours to the Niagara campaign that I conducted last year. P.S. The performance of the US artillery under Hindman and Towson in the Niagara campaign of 1814 impressed the British who 'thought they were French.' As a point of fact, the British actually believed initially that Hindman's US artillery battalion was, at least in part, staffed by French artillery officers. |
