Alrighty then! I have the files uploaded, checked, and ready to be prototyped, and here is the breakdown of how these will be going. In order to afford these masters I am opening up pre-orders for these now, until November 15th for a 15% discount from my calculated regular prices (which may actually increase once I get them into production.) This process will hopefully find them ready to ship in early December if all goes well for everyone who orders now.

picture

Since there was some interest in larger sizes of these (all dimensions approximated), here is how they will be offered:

Titanic Dreadnought – 111mm L x 44mm W x 30mm H (4-3/8"L x 1-3/4"W x 1-3/16"H) $16.00 USD USD
Light Dreadnought – 90mm L x 35 mm W x 24 mm H (3-1/2"L x 1-1/2"W x 1"H) $13.50 USD USD
This will likely be in 2 metal parts, with a resin body.

Battleship – 82.5mm L x 38.7mm W x 12mm H (3-1/4"L x 1-1/2"W x 1/2"H) $11.50 USD USD
Battlecruiser – 55mm L x 25.8mm W x 8mm H (2-3/16"L x 1"W x 5/16"H) $9.50 USD USD
This will be in two metal parts.

Cruiser – 70mm L x 51mm W x 12mm H (2-3/4"L x 2"W x 1/2"H) $8.00 USD USD
Light Cruiser – 46.7mm L x 34mm W x 8mm H (1-13/16"L x 1-5/16"W x 5/16"H) $6.50 USD USD
This will be in two metal parts, front & back (or maybe a single piece?)

Destroyer – 60mm L x 25.5mm W x 8mm H (2-3/4"L x 1"W x 5/16"H) $7.00 USD USD
Light Destroyer – 40mm L x 17mm W x 5.4mm H (1-5/8"L x 3/4"W x 1/4"H) $5.50 USD USD

Frigate – 40m L x 30mm W x 9.8mm H (1-1/2"L x 1-3/16"W x 3/8"H) $2.50 USD USD
Corvette – 27.3mm L x 20mm W x 6.5mm H (1-5/8"L x 3/4"W x 1/4"H) $1.75 USD USD

Scout – 30mm L x 17mm W x 11.5mm H (1-3/16"L x 5/8"W x 1/2"H) $1.50 USD USD
Heavy Troop Transport/Missile Boat – 20mm L x 11.5mm W x 7.7mm H (3/4"L x 1/2"W x 5/16"H) $1.00 USD USD

4 each Shuttles – 11mm L x 9.5mmW x 4mmH (7/16"L x 3/4"W x 3/16"H) W/ 1" hex Versi-Base(tm) $3.30 USD USD
2 each Shuttles – 11mm L x 9.5mmW x 4mmH (7/16"L x 3/4"W x 3/16"H) W/ 1/2" round Versi-Base(tm) $1.70 USD USD

All prices are in US Dollars, and can be pre-ordered through my studiobergstrom.com website, but will not ship until early December (if all goes well.)

Thanks everyone!

The cruiser design is my favourite. The whole fleet has a nice commonality of shapes and functions, without just being scaled up / down variations of one design. Nice!!!

Morpheus197521 Oct 2016 5:34 a.m. PST

Man. MOO designs directly from the game!

stumer21 Oct 2016 6:44 a.m. PST

Morph, I was inspired by pics of ships I found online and drew these, but I didn't intentionally mean to piggyback off of anyone's game, sorry.

WLBartlett21 Oct 2016 5:04 p.m. PST

How will these compare scale wise with the ORCdef fleet and the Auran Dominate?

Regards, Bill

stumer21 Oct 2016 7:53 p.m. PST

The ORCDeF are a bit smaller with the Carrier at 3-1/2" long, and the Auran Dominate are larger with the dreadnought over 5" long. These fit into a smaller mass than the ORCDeF or Auran, which are hollow.

Okay, There's only been one pre-order so far, and I was hoping to have the cost of the RP masters by today (so that I can get 20% off them) but we're only 10% there now.

If we can get the Rapid Prototype pints funded before the end of today 10/23/16 I will include a FREE J'Guairre ship mini with each of your contributing orders! You'll still get 15% off the SRP as well as the mini as my thanks for getting it that far! Orders after today will still get the discount, but I really want them in process this weekend so that I can get them done by early December.

stumer23 Oct 2016 2:02 p.m. PST

Okay, we're up to 45% funded! Let's get these Rapid Prototypes ordered today!

stumer27 Oct 2016 6:31 a.m. PST

One more pre-order has us now at 50%! C'mon, let's rally and get these printed soon!

Morpheus197527 Oct 2016 6:44 a.m. PST

@Stumer, no worries. I like the designs. The Alkari have some nice designs too.

Morpheus197527 Oct 2016 6:45 a.m. PST

Sword of the Stars has some great designs too.

Just a reminder, the sale prices on these will end on November 15th! Order now to get them first since backers will get first picks out of the new molds!

stumer01 Nov 2016 11:59 p.m. PST

Thanks to the generosity of one of my patrons, the rest of the RP printing cost has been funded! Let the mayhem begin!

;-)

MacrossMartin02 Nov 2016 2:19 a.m. PST

Huzzah! Great news, 'Drew!

stumer14 Nov 2016 7:30 a.m. PST

Just a reminder that the 15% off sale price on pre-orders on these ends at Midnight EST on the 15th.

stumer14 Dec 2016 9:32 a.m. PST

All pre-orders shipped out on Monday, and many thanks to those who helped bring these into production! I am in stock on everything, and ready to ship, but alas shipping may not get there by the holidays at this point.

I received my order of Battleships, and I am impressed. Very crisp casts, good detail level. Never seen the purplish resin before, but no biggie. :)

Thanks, Drew! :)

Good thing I re-read about the light dread's resin body "with a metal ring and lower nacelles."

'Am I missing something? Oh, wait, the little bag stuffed with OTHER metal goodness…'

All present and correct!

To my eyes, the resin is gray with light lavender tone, not like the piccies, Bill, but monitors vary, as well.

Thanks, Drew!
