I love 40k Kill team, small amount of miniatures, fast play and fun.But I'm looking for something little bigger, size of Dragon/Lion Rampant circa 40 miniatures. Is any ruleset suitable for forces of that size with custom build forces, vechicle support etc ? |

There's a few, off the top of my head: Gruntz, Strike Legion Platoon, Tomorrow's War, 5150 (apologies to any obvious ones I've forgotten). |

My own Clash on the Fringe will do that. It's inspired heavily by Rogue trader, so it comes with campaign rules, a handful of premade races, a points-buy system etc. typical game size is about 30-50 gits on each side, including vehicles and whatnot. Rules here link and a review here link |

I should add, the premade races are optional, you can build stat-lines from scratch or mix and match the included options. Ditto for vehicles. |

Try Frogs in Space from Sergeants 3. |

Clash on the Fringe would fit the bill. Likewise, WarEngine is a good ruleset that is reminiscent of 2nd edition 40k and plays well with 40 or so figures. |

Stargrunt II is free to download. Fast And Dirty as well. Both fits the size of battle you ask for. |

Michael Leck (a major backer for Lion/Dragon Rampant and co-author of Pikeman's Lament) recently posted a Sci-Fi Dragon Rampant battle that might be worth a read: link |
