I played my first Bolt Action 2nd edition game this weekend. A brew-up between the 29th Infantry Division and the Panzer Lehr as part of the Break-out at St Lo. Here is the AAR – wp.me/p1EO0a-A1

I read your AAR, very entertaining. Looking at the OOB's, were the points even or did the US have more? It's hard for me to tell, especially since the Germans were veterans. |

The Germans had ~1900 but were hidden and the US had ~2050 but had a lot of mobility. Nominally the Germans were defending, but it was largely a meeting engagement. |

We had a good time. We did not leverage the new officer abilities. I liked the longer range and more effective LMGs. Overall a fun gane, if you take it for what it is instead of what it us not. I would like to see some provision that limits using the transports as roving machine gun nests after they drop off their charges. We will be playing it some more. |
