Has anyone found any or perhaps a set of graphics that can be used with MS Paint?

MSpaint- no. It is good for general rough stuff, but it depends on the DPI you can do. I use Corel Draw which is much more expensive but is excellent.

I did a lot of work in MS paint a long time ago. Primarioy I used it to create sheets of map symbols on regular typing paper which I then cut out and pasted on to a larger map.

Corel Draw allowed me to do so much more and has a huge library of images and vector art of all types that you can manipulate and draw. But be advised, the latest image of Corel draw is expensive and there is a heavy learning curve. Now I can turn out stuff in record time but… that's after twenty years of use.

We've used Inkscape to produce our group's maps. Our mapper has produced a tutorial, which I can find if you want. I'm currently producing a Renaissance Italy map. Plus, the program is free. :)
