Of possible interest:

Not only for Spartan Games setting but Space 1889, Martian Invasion etc.

Wonder if the figs will end up meshing with All Quiet…

Will watch with interest

I'll use them for 15mm VSF if they fit with any of my other stuff. With Spartan's penchant for slightly larger figures, hopefully they'll fit well with Blue Moon 18's!

I'm kind of curious as to why they are doing more Dystopian-world stuff in a third scale though; they already have 28mm and 1/1200 (or there about).

Never seen any of the 28mm DL minis in store.

Being in the DW/DL community, I will say that this has gone over . . . Well, as Douglas Adams wrote "In the beginning the Universe was created.
This has made a lot of people very angry and been widely regarded as a bad move."

People are tearing their hair about how Spartan is spreading itself too thin, failing to support all its existing games, pricing itself off the market* and so on, and comparing the idea to the GW LOTR disaster that caused their huge losses. Now, while I'd welcome a 15mm DW game myself, and so would others for cost reasons, I think the timing is bad. It *is* however good timing for the 6mm Weird WW2 game "Gotterdammerung" that they demonstrated a while ago, and that would be a great game to release at present, but with Halo and such out there is a possibility that Spartan might have a lot of irons in the fire and that this is not such a great idea for now.

* Despite plans to reprice everything announced recently that has already seen a 10% drop in mini prices.

Jakar Nilson, I've seen whole shelves over in Australia on my trips there. But you won't from now on, as sales *have* been poor in stores so they are going mail order only. Though frankly, direct purchase from Spartan beats any distribution method for FLGS around here, that's a given :)

Indeed Covert Walrus – my interest perked until I realised this *wasn't* said proposed WWWII project. Both existing Dystopian titles never caught on near me (or any of the Spartan titles to be honest), so I'm not thinking this one will either (although perhaps it will provide fodder for AQotMF conversions). I might be able to pitch the WWWII title, what with Konflict being fresh on peoples minds.

Watching and like TheWhiteDog wondering about size.

Given the stylistic differences, if you do add it to All Quiet, call it WWW-VSF?

Of course, I'm assuming 'epic 18', so I suppose if you're into large 20mm…

Sorry, CW, some of us were bitter long before this announcement. It's not pretty when you turn on your fan base. GW has other examples of that.

If I recall correctly, their 28mm figures were closer to 32mm weren't they?

Covert Walrus15 Oct 2016 3:17 p.m. PST

TheBeast, I'll agree there's been a lot of disappointed Spartan customers over the years. However, unlike GW, Spartan at least is making an effort with their current survey – link – which opened this week. Can't claim they never consult people.
