The Alcantara Regiment spent most of the time prior to Talavera as part of the Spanish Army of the Centre in and around Madrid.

The regiment was one of two heavy cavalry regiments, alongside the Infante Regiment, in the 2nd Spanish Cavalry Division at Talavera.

You are making me feel guilty. I have a Battalion of Spanish Marine infantry sitting staring at me accusingly because I have left them half done.

I like the yellow lace on the bicornes.

Cracking looking unit as usual!

What is the next project after Talavera?

Thanks for your comments chaps, much appreciated.

Brian, don't beat yourself up too much, at least your Marines are half done, my two battalions are still in the bags waiting for me to get the donkey-wallopers done.

Iain, the plan is to play a lot of Talavera next year, plans to be rolled out over Xmas, whilst adding a few bits to the collection ready to turn attention to 1810 and the third French invasion of Portugal.

I will also be getting stuck into the 28mm Dacian Wars collection which will take priority as the Napoleonics have such a solid core to the collection with principally, Portuguese and more Spanish to be added.

So lots of fun stuff to come.

Really great Jonathon. I can't believe your stamina. And each unit looks better than the previous one!!
Maybe it's your photography: that's a really well-constructed picture. The two guys on the left look as if they are discussing whether to charge the viewer or not. Amazing realism.
