Was a great success and bodes well for attracting fresh talent to the Team Yankee genre..
It was nice for our participation game to get such a chuck up from the BF crew on their Iron Maiden Q&A session!

Quality work there yet again Sparks. Especially with your uniform, that's perfection. |

mmmm Sparks, CB95 uniform!!! It does give a good idea of the "DPM" pattern, something for readers would be a mention of the fading of the material either through time or by washing at high heat a number of times! Not forgetting tropical trousers that in the mid 80s were the nice bright ones. So for the infantry some chaps, especially the NCOs, could have quite a contrast between trousers and jackets and for the eagle eyed a little white patch on the back of the collar! Likewise AFVs, often left to the chaps discretion, but corners black and generally 1/3 black 2/3 green. However some Arty Regts would have identical schemes! Tally Ho! |

I really like that "grey" marder. Is that pattern historical? Just wondering… |

It does give a good idea of the "DPM" pattern It WAS the DPM pattern (Disruptive Pattern Material) – cuts have changed over the years, but the material colour and pattern remained identical for about 30 years, and certainly was universal in 1985. The new pattern came in after my time, around 2010 I think… Personally I blessed the introduction of cargo pockets you could ram a map into in case someone thought you were lost! Not sure about the pattern on the Marder – it sure looks good! |
