I try not to get my hopes up so that I can be "pleasantly surprised." |

The trailer actually had a good feel for a change. I did not look at the trailer like I did from the ones of Ep I-II-III-VII and think "So what?" I am cautiously hopeful that this will recapture some of the magic of the original trilogy. |

It has an AT-AT variant in it…. that has to be a good sign doesn't it? |

I'm more excited for this, than any of the other movies since the original trilogy. |

If this doesn't save the franchise, nothing will. The fact so many seem more excited about this than VIII should speak volumes |

> If this doesn't save the franchise, nothing will. Episode 7 had a Domestic gross of 936 million, 2 Billion worldwide, I'd hate to see what a film needs to make before it DOESN'T need saving. |

I also saw the return of 12" Star Wars miniatures (dolls). I have noticed that the 12" dolls show up when the marketing haul is apt to be huge. Target has a talking Stormtrooper with a Jetpack (with ground combat and flight modes) and a trio box of C3P0 / BB8 / R2D5 out. The force is strong this holiday season. |

Nice to see the classic Fleet Troopers in the trailer. Maybe they will get some new gear and some new figures. TomT |
