Hi all, I've recently encountered some rather unique miniatures of "footbows" in use: Unicorn Clan Ashi-Kyu Archers
They are bows that are fired while lying on one's back, bracing the bow with both feet, and drawing them with the arms. What I would like to know, is whether any other manufacturers make footbows and/or archers firing from this position? I've searched everywhere, but Google doesn't seem too keen on interpreting "footbow" as anything other than an archer on foot. Thanks! Edit: A peripheral question: Did these even exist historically? And if so, which cultures used them? |

I saw them in a Chinese epic film from the Warring States period, I also wondered if they were based on anything real. |

Ahh. Thanks! Apologies for the late reply; had to wait for the 3-day new-member curfew to post. |

Hi all, so I'm back to this again, and would like to ask if any other miniatures like this exist? Any scale will do since I might be doing multiple scales and all. Thanks! |
