That looks like a lot of fun!

David Smith10 Oct 2016 10:20 a.m. PST

Are these rules available to purchase?

Dervel Fezian10 Oct 2016 11:17 a.m. PST

David,
Right now I believe the plan is to have them available by Fall In as a PDF download. Worst case before Cold Wars…

The armies shown on my TMP posting are tweaked specifically for this campaign but are built from the 667 possible armies currently in the Triumph! army lists.

Stosstruppen,
It's a riot, the campaign mechanism is a great way to pair people up for one on one games while linking everything together in one bigger picture. We usually get in 3 to 4 rounds in a session. Players draw lots to see who gets to invade who, invaders that win turn their victims into vassals and try to build an empire.

Grudges, revolts, backstabbing, and double dealing abound…

Oh and cheesey comments and movie quotes of course.

What a hoot! Really looking forward to these, and maybe to replicate your campaign locally.

Does Triumph have anything similar to the rock-paper-scissors of DBA?

Do Horse archers have ranged combat? (I sure hope so.)

Dave Schlanger11 Oct 2016 6:29 a.m. PST

Horse Bow do not have ranged fire in the standard Triumph rules. But they do have a number of characteristics that make them very capable and are a lot of fun to play!

Are the campaign rules part of the Triumph rules or something else that you created?

Thanks

Agree with rampantlion. This is giving me an idea…

The campaign rules are largely independent of Triumph and could be adapted to be used with most rules. The current focus is on getting Triumph ready. Once that's done, publishing the campaign rules is one of our next priorities.

Ok, thanks for the info!

Wow, I agree this looks like an awesome set of convention games, wish I could be there to participate, and hope to see lots of AARs!

mghFond26 Jan 2017 11:44 p.m. PST

Hmmm, was there ever any AARs of this posted on TMP or for that matter on anyone's blogs?

Dervel Fezian27 Jan 2017 1:59 p.m. PST

No real AAR here or specifically on that campaign. Too much of a pain in the tail to post pictures here and I was a little busy to take too many pictures.

Triumph has a FB page where some pics are posted:

The results of the Baltic Crusade campaign, we had 14 players for this event and a first time attendee to Fall In (actually any HMGS convention) won playing as one of the Mongol Factions Victory was achieved in a tumultuous and last minute Mongol on Mongol civil war which showed who was the Great Khan :)
