There is always a lot of bitching and mosning when a TMP Poll does not include one of your favorites. Never more so than in the currently running polls about Favorite Female singer.
Several observations.

1. What does this have to do with miniature wargaming? grin

2. Almost every poll starts out as a Poll Suggestion. As someone who hasn't paid a dime for a Supporting Membership for years, but keeps my SM via getting polls run, I know a thing or two about how they run.
Months ago, I was listening to a bunch of YouTube videos, and felt the need to start a Poll.
It got quite a big response, and they are all there to be voted on.

3. I forgot a few. They missed out. No big deal. Their careers hardly need a TMP endorsement. I'm just glad a few I don't like missed the cut.

4. You have s few days while the poll is on the front page to nominate someone. Anyone. In fact, if you visit the board, you may have up to FOUR YEARS to nominate a poll entry.

5. And if you are upset if …. Kim Carnes or Taylor Dayne miss the cut, what is your solution? STOP THE POLL!!! Add a few more!
Sorry. You missed the boat.
Think of it as a primary election. grin and you are stuck with the choices.

Great points – there seems to me to be lots of options to chime in before a poll is posted

In multi rounds, why not add new suggestions to the poll for the next round? Isn't there almost half a dozen editors now?

Aw, have a heart, Winston. You have to remember how lazy and stupid I am and take pity on me.

I'm just gonna zone out on some Linda Ronstadt until the game comes on….

Hey. Claire Hastings just came to my attention a few weeks ago, and she missed the Poll.
But you don't see me mosning. I hate mosners. grin

Kvetching I'm up for always, but not mosning!

The Mosning is one of my favorite horror movie classics. Then they came out with The Mosning II and that killed all interest for me.

Actually, I thought The Mosning II was superior in every way. The sheer scope of the work and characterizations are light years ahead of The Mosning. The thinly veiled allegory of the death of the Jar Jar Binks-like character and his transformation into the Witch Sorceror is epic!

Moaning about the polls is a time honoured tradition.
