Ironclad Games has it and they have a new website for it here.

quietmartianfront.com

They've realeased the full rule book in PDF form too!

PDF link

This is the HARD BACK rulebook with complete rules. Not the little dinky one.

This page has all of the other rules put out for the game.

Great news for the gaming hobby!

This is great news. I knew the line had been aquired, but this is a quick turn around time for relaunch.

Looks like I can start filling the holes left from the KickStarter pledge that went down with Alien Dungeon.

I have to admit that the loss of so much in the KS left a bad taste in my mouth. But I still love the genre, it is in the "right" scale for me, and I have a ton of basic Martian tripods waiting to be built. So, I can now go slow and build up my sides.

I am very happy they have put the rules out as a free PDF, so that it will be simpler to draw new folks into the game.

What was missing? I think I got everything I was suppose to get. I was quite happy with that KS.. but then again, I was happy with the Robotech one too!

PzGeneral01 Oct 2016 12:30 p.m. PST

I've always liked the game…still painting and playing.

I wonder what the disposition of the Bankruptcy was….I feel kinda bitter seeing the items I was denied being sold on a website……

TGunner….I never received a third shipment. I got the initial, and the second. Alien Dungeon the announced the 3rd shipment was being sent out. Then they announced bankruptcy. A guy I know in Toledo got his. You and he were some of the lucky few. I, like most people, got stiffed…..

Tgunner01 Oct 2016 1:32 p.m. PST

Oh, didn't know that. Sorry to hear.

But on the other hand I just got the "Battle of Memphis" set which was pretty basic so I got the vast majority of my stuff in the first shipment.

HesseDarmstadt6201 Oct 2016 2:01 p.m. PST

Yeah, I got the majority of the stuff I pledged for, but not the third wave. I didn't get the Landship, which really stung. I think I missed on a couple of the advanced martian walkers that were third wave, and a couple of the odder US tanks.

regards,
HesseDarmstadt.

Tgunner01 Oct 2016 2:44 p.m. PST

Ouch on the Landship. That is a $200 USDish toy. I think the only thing I didn't get was the anti-tripod gun, but I'm just thinking off the cuff. It might be sitting in the box with my other AQOTMF stuff.. which I'll get around to one day.

Excellent news This should run for a long time 😁

DyeHard02 Oct 2016 12:00 p.m. PST

To Tgunner:

I was one the big backers of the KickStarter. I pledge to get every model offered in multiples. Unfortunately for me, I only ever received the most basic items from the first wave of shipping. And not any of the UK troops, as they send US troops in their place in error. I have not done the math, but I lost out on several thousand dollars overall.

I knew that such a result could happen, but it did derail my enthusiasm for the game (and even miniatures in general) for some time.

But now that I have had time to lick my wounds, I can start to buy in small lots and get that ball rolling once again.

I have even updated my long dormant fan page:

but I lost out on several thousand dollars overall.

There's a reason I don't do kickstarters…

Frankly, the only Kickstarters I've done are those from companies I know and trust – if there are really cool things I see, I wait until they're available through regular channels.

I've certainly saved quite a bit of money with that as my standard.

Have or have good reason to expect all I ordered from KS except the book that international politics seems to have stymied…

It would have to be 15mm Soldados de Cuera or Presidials to get my money at this late date in my life span. I think I have almost everything I play in the storage cases now days.

Spudeus03 Oct 2016 12:15 p.m. PST

Still don't see the Goliath heavy tank, which was my #1 want. But the fact the game seems to have a new lease on life may revive my interest.

…I know and trust…

Oh, I try to do some investigations, but, and remember all mine have been successful so far, the most disappointing to date has been the one I joined for RAFM, certainly known and trusted by me.

It's a risk, I expect a risk, and to use a different paradigm, 'never gamble more than you can afford to lose.' If you can afford several thousand, you're in a different league from me!

I do have the original AQotMF box starter, but never played. I still have hopes, but that's a gamble I could afford.

That's my attitude TheBeast. I don't view Kickstarters as being a p repurchase. It's an investment. Like any investment there's a chance that it will fail and one must be prepared to lose everything that one invests. That was my view about Robotech! I really didn't honestly think that they would get anything out except maybe the most basic stuff. All the other stuff was "gravy" to me. That's what its looking like right now IMO, but I'm happy with the stuff I have because I think that I got a decent return on my investment. I'm sure that's not the case for other folks on that Kickstarter.
