Going to be in D.C is there any wargaming stores there? |

Not in DC, and the drive out to the local stores in northern Virginia is not really worth it. They are good stores, just over an hour away with no traffic. |

No. I live in DC. The closest are in suburban Maryland and Northern Virginia, but neither are worth the drive if you are visiting. If you are also into board games and puzzles, you can check out Labyrinth Games in DC. But there is no wargaming stuff there. |

A great store in Maryland is Games and Stuff. Depending on your drive and when you will be here not too far from DC, and depending on the day as they have different things going on each day. We do mini's every Sunday from 12 until 5 and then grab dinner. Anyone is welcome and nothing needed to play except for having fun. gamesandstuffonline.com |

Also depends on if you are driving in or flying and to which airport you are flying. If you are coming in to Dulles, Huzzah Hobbies is pretty close by and is a nice store with good stock of miniatures and boardgames and a large gaming area with something going on most nights. |

Huzzah is good only if you come into Dulles. Eagle & Empire isn't really worth it despite the promising name but that's not too far from Reagan – 20 minutes tops with traffic. |

Whereas Games and Stuff is right near BWI. There, we have the 3 airports covered. |

Bought some figs from Eagle and Empire back in the 90's. I came all the way from Manassas as a a kid bumming a ride from my Mom. |

I live near Huzzah. Many of his customers play magic…. with some board games, FOW and Team Yankee. Frankly, I'm not sure how any brick and mortar store survives anymore, but Huzzah has a large gaming section. The owner is super nice, but he must sell a lot of candy bars. |

> but he must sell a lot of candy bars. My advice to anyone who wants to open a game store, open a place that rents table space by the hour and sells pizza. |

Traffic is brutal in the area and all about when you're on the road. I've lived here for five years and will go to Huzzah for the first time tomorrow because my son has a football game close by, and I'm not sure I could make it to the game if I went home first. pjm |
