on a given night there's not much that can beat Clint Eastwood at the top of his game… so what's your favourite performance of his ? Have to admit I prefer his Westerns above all else - Fistful of dollars few dollars more The good the bad and the ugly High plains drifter pale rider Outlaw Josey Wales Not so much a fan of "Paint your wagon" Hard to pick between them. Probably go for Fistful of dollars. |

I like him in just about everything, including Kelly's Heroes and Where Eagles Dare. For me, best performance was in Unforgiven. For me, favourite Clint film is Outlaw Josey Wales. I'll even watch the "Every Which Way…." series and, BTW, I quite like Paint Your Wagon, especially "Best Things [in life are dirty]" the "Gospel of No Name City" and Jean Seberg of course (poor thing). |

Kelly's Heros is one I quote incessantly. Paint Your Wagon is among the only two musicals I can sit through. |

I agree with ACWBill about Paint Your Wagon, but I don't know of another one I can sit thorough. As much as I love Clint, Lee Marvin became my favorite musical star with "I Was Born Under a Wonderin' Star." That statement drives my wife, who likes musicals, nuts! Tom |

As Olicana say he has quite the number of hidden gems in there. I couldn't agree more. Who would of thought of him singing in a western? I don't think anyone has even brought up the films he directed yet! |

Everyone ignores "White Hunter, Dark Heart". Excellent movie and excellent performance by Clint channeling John Huston |

I've never been disappointed by a performance, only by some scripts (Where Eagles Dare). My top three are: Paint Your Wagon for the songs Kelly's Heroes for the quotes The Good, the Bad and the Ugly for…. everything. |

Kelly's Heroes Josey Wales Paint Your Wagon is not a particularly good performance by him but it is a fun movie. Between it and Cat Ballou, I think the Western Musical genre is small but well represented. |

IMO, his "Unforgiven" role is his best performance with honorable mention for his work in "The Beguiled" & "Tightrope". |

this is sort of like comparing apples to oranges. between his westerns, dirty harry movies, any which way movies…even with Eastwood being Eastwood all of his performances vary widely and its hard to say which one is best. loved them all and even the early Sergio Leone ones were good. for personal favorites…gotta go with Gran Torino and Heartbreak Ridge. do many of you remember his tv role as Rowdy Yates on Rawhide? |
