Finished the ebook tonight. I'm disappointed in how the author thinks the human race is too stupid to survive in several different books.

I'll read the next one because I already have a copy of it on my NOOK…

A certain, famous, wheel-chair bound astronomer and physicist seems to share the writers view, and says it's probably too late to re-think those broadcasts and space probe(s) we've sent into the heavens.

Does kinda suck to know you are the ant(s) in the cosmic scheme of things though, and some others might just come along to snuff you out on a whim, or for sport.

Baxter's earlier stuff is interesting, if a bit bleak – but lately, it's just been more and more bleak. The high-altitude view of self-loathing isn't really any more fun than close-up.
