Chip Coffey and myself just ran our latest installment of our pulp game that we have run every HMGS-South show since 2001 or 2002.

This time out the adventure was set on the planet Mongo and featured such diverse casts as:
-Raymond "Raygun" Rayborn
-Princess Aurora
-Dr Richard Daystrom of the Daystrom Institute
-General Klytus and IMPSEC (who sees all and Knows all)
-The crew of Moonbase Alpha
-The Emperor's War Rocket Corps
-The Science Police
-The Browncoats

The scenario was that the Daystrom Institute was testing the new M5 computer (Under the code name "project skynet"). At the same time the Browncoats were attempting to slip into the Spacely Sprockets warehouse by using a computer virus to disable the security system. Suffice to say that the M5 saw the virus as proof that the organics were really out to kill him. Chaos quickly ensued.

The game was run twice with Skynet ruling supreme in the first run, but being rebooted in the second one when it lost the initiative roll to Allan Carter and Eagle 1 that was hovering outside the institute.

I want me some of those space ship toys… particularly the gold one in the foreground. My RetroRaygun guys need a good dropship.

Awesome. That looks like one helluva fun game.

Me too! Where did you get the ships?

alex75726 Sep 2016 9:44 a.m. PST

All of the big ships were picked up at the local Goodwill stores. One of them is a Buzz Lightyear ship, one is a Fisher-Price, and several are Star Wars action figure toys with obvious cockpits and such covered over with plastic.

The Gold ship is a toy from the movie Space Jam I picked up off of Ebay.

Still though, must have taken you a while to collect everything.

I love the GORT figure and I can see (my) Robbie the Robot figure with him. All you need is the Iron Giant and one of those weird robots from Miyazaki (Nausicaa, maybe) to complete the mix.

Kudoes!
