A Space Hulk will drop out of the Warp at Hurricon 2016 held in Orlando, Florida this weekend (September 22-25) at the International Palms Resort and Conference Center.
From the Game Grid… The Space Hulk identified as the "Pestilent Host" has dropped out of Warp threatening Imperial Space. Forces sent to bring Retribution have gone silent. Ordos Hereticus has taken an interest in this threat as well as other forces of the Imperium. Command elite members of the "Emperor's Will" to subdue this blasphemous intruder. Death to the Heretic! Death to the Xenos! Launch Boarding Torpedoes!….the "Emperor's Justice" must prevail! This will be a 28mm narrative miniatures assault into mayhem vs. the GM featuring 3D modeled Hulk passages and rooms. See you there! |

Awesome! Are those drop pods, boarding torps, or power sources? (The big orange things) Whatever they are they look fantastic, as does the rest of the board. |

Thanks… the objects in the first picture are in fact Savior Pods overrun by Genestealers. The picture below is a Boarding Torpedo disgorging a squad of Deathwatch. The Savior Pods were made of Pop Up plastic sprinkler heads with foamcore fins attached…. the torpedo is a larger sprinkler head with foamcore fins and glue stick fuel tanks attached. The walkways and rooms are black core foam core, vertical PVC pipe for supports, granny grate for walkway grating and bamboo skewers for perimeter piping. The layout consumes about 30 square feet (2-6'x30" tables) and was really super cheap to build.

Thanks Guys! I plan on taking a lot of pictures during the two games I am running at Hurricon! Look for them to be posted early next week. By the way did anyone notice the use of treble fishing hooks to simulate boarding grapples on the Boarding Torpedo?? |
