It's a terrain expansion for Heroscape, but will non-Heroscape gamers be attracted by the trees?

other than the stupid Yoda ears, this is pretty good for a 28mm

I agree with Otto – clip those ears off any you have a good figure. Imagine about 40 of those massed together. That would put fear in the orcs!

yeah I'm not sure when elves started having these type of big pointed ears – maybe something from WoW or new D&D art. Like the pose.

Those ears look like tiny versions of Night Elf ears from World of Warcraft.

The face however looks like a Grey Abductor.

"Pointed" ears are one thing;even Hobbits had them. But these donkey ears--sheesh! Once again:

Actually this goes one better than the chainmail bikini. The ears are totally unprotected too!

Terrement--They go back, all right,at least to the Greek Satyrs, some of whom had horse or ass characteristics, including ears and tails. And it probably didn't start with the Greeks.

"I think if you go back to Victorian illustrators such as Arthur Rackham, and perhaps earlier many creatures of Fey have pointed ears. Might be a carry-over from that"

No, these are not the same type of elves that were being depicted and manufactured in the 70's-90's for fantasy gaming. I remember elves from Ral Partha, Citadel, Grenadier, Minifigs and Heritage having pointed ears that were no where near as long or pronounced as they are often shown today. Back then the pointed ear protruded just a little bit through the hair – enough to distinguish the figure as an elf rather than a human.

FWIW, I'm having a lot of trouble to get this website to function for me. Annoying, because I'd like to make some purchases!

There, finally got a small order processed. The internet connection kept getting severed. Possibly a Russian thing.

Glad you like it (apart from the ears) boys!. (smile)

The ears are from record of lodoss war. It's an anime influence and predates warcraft

What THorr said….Old D and D elves (1st and 2nd ed) had smaller ears. About 3rd edition they went to the Aname style ears…still prefer the older style myself. It appears most games have gone to the donkey ear elves now.

I like the ears. The nose, however, looks a little odd. Also, I like my fantasy elves a little thinner.

Something wrong with my ears there is? Beautiful to me she looks!

Ottoathome23 Sep 2016 7:08 a.m. PST

Dear John the greater.

I'm not so sure of 40 of them together. The pose is not right for a massed formation. I think it would look like a vegas chorus line. Kick-step- two three-- kick-step two three. Now wave the swords in unison girls, in UNISON!!!!
