I'm about 24 hours in from deciding to collect armies for the WSS and noticed the Essex figure (15mm) is carrying his musket on his right hand side and the other manufacturers that I've seen carry it on the left. Is one correct and not the other? I'm a complete novice in the period. Have just read the politics behind the war over the weekend and have become hooked! By the way what size would be good start for a brigade? Appreciate any help. David |

What rules are you using? I based my brigades on the Battle of Blenheim. I also used the army lists at this site: link Scroll to the bottom. Ed |

For marching the musket is carried on the left shoulder. |

Marching the musket would be on the left but, in the "at ready" position the musket would be on the right. |

By the way what size would be good start for a brigade? That depends. Are you going to use rules based on battalions? Then figure out how many figures per battalion first. Or are you going to use a brigade set of rules like Twilight of the Sun-King? Then each unit will be a brigade, making playing a whole battle feasible without breaking the bank or your table. |
