I have 2 different collections of F&I War figures. One set, has the older scale (Conquest,Foundry, early Perry, OG, Dixon and Eureka). Then, I have a second consisting of Redoubt, Galloping Major, Later Perry scale creep, Front Rank and Kings Mountain Over Mountain Men. These lines don't match. No matter what people tell you about "human beings being different sizes" baloney. It's not the height, but the girth of the figure that is the problem. Just look at the weapons. Right there, you'll see the difference. Only Old Glory seems to straddle between the lines here. They seem to blend in with both scales, without too much trouble. In a big display/game, I would combine both, but keep them as far apart, as I could. No knock against either size, although the smaller sizes were bought years ago, while the larger figures are newer. And bigger is better on older eyes. So what do you guys do? Mix? Match? or don't really care either way? |

I don't care either way, but my F&I war figures are all Old Glory and I think they are great. I remember when I got my first bag of Old glory Indians over 20 years ago at a hobby shop out in Berkley California, they were the most beautifully sculpted Indians then and still are today! |

If I were you I would split the collections. If you can find a buyer for the 25's then go for it. Adding to your 25's is difficult as most new figures are 28's. |

I make it a point to mix as many different manufacturers on the table at one time as I can. My record is 23. In FIW games, the figures are all over the table, and their alleged non-compatibility never comes up. |

I'm not interested in selling either one. Both have their place and I'm happy to keep them. |

I must say that in fact all Old Glory American history figures are very good. |

If possible, 25mm figures dressed in civilian clothes can be used as teenagers…that is what I use them for in skirmish games. The others I place bingo chips under the figure base and then base them on their individual bases. Height-wise they size up decently and girth-wise it becomes somewhat less noticeable. Try it. I think it works reasonably well. Regards, Hitman |

By the way, I have Conquest, Redoubt, Front Rank, Galloping Major and Old Glory all together and no one has complained when I use them this way at conventions and the like. Regards, Hitman |
