When wargaming, do you throw your dice into a tray when making game rolls? |

I'll see you and raise you a 2x2 dice table on rollers. Vince |

Depends on how many dice are used and wbo's playing. Kevin has a knack for knocking things over…. |

Nope, never liked them. I do try to keep dice coraled, and not all over the board, during play. |

No, but I hope to make a crater or volcano mouth for rolling dice in for appropriate scenarios in the future. |

Yes, some foam base in a shoe box. |

We have been using a dice tower recently. |

Yes. Reduces damage to dice and miniatures from errant throws. Also removes the odd tipped dice. We play that if the die is not lying flat, it must be rerolled. Dice tray eliminates that issue and presents all dice within an easily transferable view of everyone if needed. |

No dice trays. No drinks on table. Offender's troops automatically fail morale and rout. |

Yes, always! Fail to see the need of players having dice rolling all over the place on the game table! Might as well just roll them on the floor! |

Our group uses dice towers. |

I don't like dice towers, but I'm become more partial to a heavily padded dice tray since we started using a map for D&D night |
Buck215 | 17 Sep 2016 7:48 p.m. PST |
Used to use them, now I use a tower… |

I have two very nice trays – inevitably they get used to hold the dice and the dice get rolled on the table. Not really the intent but a perfect example of planning meets people resulting in friction. . . |

This is an individual thing. I don't use dice trays much when I play with my 28mm or 20mm troops. However when I play boardgames where stacks of counters or placement can be easily disarrayed by an incautiously thrown dice they are seential to prevent great mayhem. |
Doctor X | 18 Sep 2016 8:24 p.m. PST |
We us them more often in games where you roll handfuls of dice to stop them from spraying all over the table and floor or ending up cocked. |

I was looking at a disused parrot perch in the Shed .It survived 2 garage sales . Then I realised its a Dice Tray . Unbolted the perch . Sanded the Beejuzez out of it and gave it 3 coats of varnish . Then to my stunned disbelief the kids , when younger , had left behind some Green Felt in a paint /arts cupboard . |

Dice tower. I play bucket-o-dice games, rolling one die for each figure attacking. Too many dice to roll on the tabletop. The tower keeps things from going everywhere, knocking figures, getting lost, etc. Cheers! |
