Has anyone used these rules produced by the Wyre Forest Gamers (UK)? I'm going to give them a go at my next club and I'd like your thoughts, please?

I loved the idea of combining Forlorn Hope with Loose Files as they are two of my favourite rule sets. However, I feel the resulting rules felt too weighted towards Loose Files to really give me a game that felt ECW to me, based on the history I've read and my interpretation of what I've read.

It's also detailed to a point that you can't really play very big actions. There are however, some clever ideas. Definitely worth a look if you want to play small games and you don;t mind detail.

We have played a few games of WWAE. I'm not sure if it is the way they are written or the rules themselves but we found them a bit of a struggle. Games took a long time to play; even after a few games we were constantly in the rulebook. There are lots of interesting ideas, perhaps too much of a mish-mash; some aspects are quite detailed yet others not so much.
I will disagree with Timmo and say that we felt they were a good representation of ECW warfare which is obviously subjective.
