If you own a skirmish version of FiveCore already (and if not, grab the retro collection, its Pay What You Want for a reason), you can go grab the Alpha draft of the platoon level rules here

link

This will enable games of 30-40 figures per side with multiple vehicles and will, when finished, allow 20th century, modern and scifi battles.

The plan is to also include a points system for the first time ever in FiveCore history :)

A few notes on the Alpha rules:

They are very brief (4 pages).

They ONLY cover CHANGES to the normal skirmish mechanics. At the moment, anything not explicitly changed is remaining the same.

For the Alpha version, you're expected to fill in the blanks yourself.

It won't cost anything but as mentioned above, you NEED a copy of a FiveCore based skirmish game already to make any use out of it.

looks good. I like the new "no markers" approach!

Just downloaded and digesting. Your timing is perfect, because I am STILL fiddling with a 5 core based WW1 platoon game that I started, oh what, almost 2 years ago?

Well, now's a good time :-)

It's entirely possible combat isn't deadly enough to be "fun", initial testing was promising though.

How do you get the free version the link shows a price?

What price does it show for you? It shows $0.00 USD price for me.
