…as the subject says. Do you know of any manufacturer of umbrellas suitable for 28mm figures? I need a couple of straightforward furled brollies (not parasols or anything like that) for an upcoming project and haven't been able to find so much as a hint of such a thing.

Thanks,
Hugh

I'm pretty sure I have at least one somewhere, but it would have been part of a figure pack.

I thought Pulp Figures but I didn't see them there, though one figure has one in hand.

RAFM or Eureka might be where I saw them, I'd thought Black Cat Bases too, but don't see anything there.

Crooked Dice's Sir Benton Troad figure is leaning on one.

I know I have seen another male steampunk figure with one as well.

You could always buy one of these and then cast just the umbrella

Copplestone Castings used to include umbrellas as rampage with their Chinese Warlord troops.

Surely it cannot be too hard to scratch… probably easier than detaching it from a figure.

An old chum of mine scratch built his own umbrellas.

Seems like a pretty easy thing to scratch build with a bit of rod and putty.

Thanks for the responses, guys. Hmm, I'm not sure that I want to cut apart an existing miniature just to get an umbrella (especially if it's an expensive figure, or only available as part of a larger pack for which I have no other use).

The Copplestone "rampage"/bits-n-bobs would be of great interest, but I suspect would be virtually impossible to track down (and why Chinese Warlord packs, of all things :-) ?)

Looks like I might have to try scratch-building the brollies, though I'm not particularly confident in my abilities there…

Will you be at the show in Forfar?

@Jim : no, I wasn't planning to go to Forfar. I'd like to, but it's a bit too far at a busy time of year for me.

@Renaud : thanks for that! I don't need Chinese infantry myself, but if I can find someone who has them and doesn't need the umbrellas…

Try a Heroclix Penguin. The one based on the Arkham video games has a furled umbrella and he's cheap.
