I have a campaign coming up. I'm Monty. grin

Chokidar12 Sep 2016 7:08 a.m. PST

I suspect his use of apostrophes may have been more precise…

Winston Smith12 Sep 2016 7:21 a.m. PST

Dammit. Autocorrect always does that at the beginning of a sentence.
Why it prefers that is beyond me.

Because "were" at the beginning of a sentence usually requires a conditional clause, as in "were this, then that",

or.. "Were Priests and/or Bishops used in Sicily, then Allied close support would have been more effective".

So… detecting no clause, autocorrect changed it to "We are (We're) the Priests and/or Bishops used in Sicily?", implying you are asking if you are those persons.

Yes, Priests were used by both the US and British in Sicily. The Bishop was also used.

I love the Sicilian campaign as you can basically use anything you want (apart from Panthers:).

priest and bishop both used in sicily and early italian campaign

Apostrophe abuse is a horrible thing. I do not wish to have my cell phone do it in my behalf.

Zippee12 Sep 2016 10:21 a.m. PST

"on" your behalf – seems you're phone can't spell either :)

Autocorrect is proof of the existence of Loki.

Or some other deity with a wicked sense of humor… Coyote, maybe.

Yes I know. I was playing on words off Zippees' (tee hee) intentionally (naughty) incorrect use of "You're" in

seems you're phone can't spell either
… see… he intentionally misused "You're" so I intentionally misused "your" when teasing him.

Certainly Priets. The S Africans used their M 10's as mobile artillery too. They didn't call them Wolverine btw, but "Grouse" – anyone know why?

Also agree with loving Italian campaign as you van use nearly everything in it – would add "(and everybody".

number414 Sep 2016 11:22 p.m. PST

Wolverine sounds like Grouse in a south African accent
