I ran out some time ago, too many miniatures & too many books, but I still keep on buying more…

freerangeegg10 Sep 2016 1:03 p.m. PST

Getting there

Coyotepunc and Hatshepsuut10 Sep 2016 1:03 p.m. PST

This is why we have an off-sight storage unit… 1/3 furniture, clothes, and household items, 2/3 books and gaming stuff.

David Manley10 Sep 2016 1:10 p.m. PST

Rrobbyrobot10 Sep 2016 1:32 p.m. PST

I keep finding space by rearranging my game room. But this won't work forever…

vtsaogames10 Sep 2016 1:45 p.m. PST

Yes. I've had to cull my book collection to buy new ones and I buy e-books if they don't have excellent maps.

Wackmole910 Sep 2016 1:49 p.m. PST

Nope I have wonderful Garage of Holding to keep my treasures

GatorDave Supporting Member of TMP10 Sep 2016 1:52 p.m. PST

Texas Jack10 Sep 2016 2:30 p.m. PST

Not running out of room so much as running out of boxes.

MajorB10 Sep 2016 2:30 p.m. PST

Not yet but I did cull the collection a few years back.

GarrisonMiniatures10 Sep 2016 2:59 p.m. PST

Space is not an issue, access is.

rmaker10 Sep 2016 3:05 p.m. PST

Not really. And there will be more space in the new house.

Personal logo etotheipi Sponsoring Member of TMP10 Sep 2016 3:34 p.m. PST

No. I have already run out of space for minis and terrain.

Ragbones10 Sep 2016 3:34 p.m. PST

Yes, unfortunately.

robert piepenbrink Supporting Member of TMP10 Sep 2016 3:56 p.m. PST

Not so much now, but that's because I've gotten rid of three period/scale combinations this year. At least four more to go.

D A THB10 Sep 2016 4:15 p.m. PST

Yes, even though I built an extra room to house my hobby.

14Bore10 Sep 2016 4:24 p.m. PST

Need to find homes for new units from last year on but no.

45thdiv10 Sep 2016 5:02 p.m. PST

Mainly for terrain. I am going through my projects that I will never work on and getting ready to post them here for sale.

Almost.

I had to take down my 6 x 12' table, and put up shelves so my basement is now a warehouse. Luckily I have a ping-pong table in the family room for gaming. Gave the big table to our new clubhouse host so it's still in use.

Toaster10 Sep 2016 8:29 p.m. PST

Not only am I running out of room I have to move house soon.

Robert

Winston0110 Sep 2016 9:20 p.m. PST

Yes, but I made decisions and reduced my supply to compensate. Also made decision to not buy new figures till current unpainted figures are all painted. Also cut out buying any magazines and sold off the ones I owned. These decisions have made a difference for my space problems.

Durban Gamer11 Sep 2016 4:59 a.m. PST

Refusing to collect larger than true 15mm was the best decision I took over 40 years ago. Saved me from space headache, especially for terrain, as collections in my favourite periods slowly built up and old age eventually compelled a smaller residence!

Vigilant11 Sep 2016 5:31 a.m. PST

Only 1 room in the house doesn't have war games stuff in it! Need a proper sort out but can't muster the courage.

(Phil Dutre)11 Sep 2016 8:56 a.m. PST

Yes.

But where the first half of my wargaming career has been focused on amassing stuff, the second half has been about upgrading stuff. So the total volume remains under control.

galvinm11 Sep 2016 8:57 a.m. PST

I just buy new buildings to house everything.

Filled the house, bought a shed.

Filled the shed, bought a 2 storey man cave.

too many miniatures, and way too many books.

Hope that will do it.

Crow Bait11 Sep 2016 10:01 a.m. PST

Ah..The joy's of 2mm gaming. WWII Americans, Germans, Russians, and Terrain in one Plano Box.

Personal logo Dentatus Sponsoring Member of TMP Fezian11 Sep 2016 10:50 a.m. PST

Re-organizing and building new shelves but I'm rapidly approaching the saturation point.

steamingdave4711 Sep 2016 1:26 p.m. PST

I am obviously not alone! In spite of my best efforts more figures, books, terrain seem to keep appearing. Over- spil of terrain has gone to the shed, but figures need to stay in more even temperature. Thinking about new Bisley cabinets for my growing 10mm collections.

Ottoathome11 Sep 2016 3:23 p.m. PST

Building a house in Maine which will have a 32 by 22 ft hobby room next to a 32 by 24 ft garage on the ground floor.

Lots of space there and I won't have to schlep up the terrain and minist to the living room as I do now.

Rotundo11 Sep 2016 4:43 p.m. PST

I commit one room to this madness…yet it creeps like ivy. The car. The coffee table. I can keep it contained but yeah. I am starting to see hard cuts coming.

BelgianRay12 Sep 2016 1:13 p.m. PST

Absolutely.

Striker12 Sep 2016 2:42 p.m. PST

Yes. I'm winding down on buildings since I can only fit so many on the table. The problem is I like building them.

Old Contemptibles12 Sep 2016 2:49 p.m. PST

Yes! Help!

snurl113 Sep 2016 4:22 a.m. PST

Yep.

grtbrt13 Sep 2016 7:54 a.m. PST

Not yet ,
When we buy a new house -we just make sure that it has a large enough space. My wife is very good about that -she tells the realtor that I need the gaming space and the space for a walk-in wine cellar .

In our current place I converted the guest house into my gaming area (and kept 2 en-suite bedrooms for overnight gaming guest).

I also keep a bunch of gaming things at our summer home -That way my sons and I can play when we are there .

Personal logo DWilliams Supporting Member of TMP13 Sep 2016 7:53 p.m. PST

Yes. My collection of miniatures and terrain is spilling out from the basement into upstairs closets, much to my wife's disdain.

nheastvan13 Sep 2016 8:44 p.m. PST

I'm not a collector and I just did a culling. I also don't buy for a project unless everything I have for it is done already or proceeds from the sale of *unpainted* miniatures funds new purchases. All of my stuff fits in a couple mid sized plastic storage containers and one set of those plastic drawers that fit under my work table.

At this point the only thing I'm running short of is display space for finished miniatures. I'm thinking I'm going to need to add more glass shelves to my ikea display unit. Until that happens, only 54mm figures get to be displayed like that.

Us single losers who rent 1 bedroom dumps have to be practical. Yes I don't have enough space. Have folding coleman camping tables for games in the future. Beats the floor.

Zinkala18 Feb 2018 9:38 a.m. PST

No, but I'm working on it. Helps that I have 2 houses. The rarely used stuff is at my old house while the current projects are at the new one.
