Although most of it is bundles of existing stuff.

New boxed sets include a specific BA version of the command squad, the assault squad and their own sternguard and vanguard.

There is also a new campaign supplement for the Black Crusade campaign called Angel's Blade.

The pricing on the bundles seems to be all over the place. It ranges from the scout collection on which you save nothing over the individual price of the models, to the Blood Angels Archangel Orbital Intervention force where you save nearly 20% and it is only 80 quid. The Archangel Demi Company is 197 GBP and yet you only save about 10% on that one over normal pricing on the models.

The Demi-Company is a 15% savings but you only spend 162 quid.

There are some good deals to be had, especially if you really need Blood Angel terminators for a big space hulk game.

Nothing quite as good as the CSM deal last week that saw a 25% savings on the one set.

The new box sets are really not new. They are older box sets with one new sprue.

Which is this sprue sold separately

So I am not sure why they are doing it, unless its some marketing scheme.

The Deathwatch are almost the same thing. The rhino, landraider, dreadnaught, and terminators just had an added sprue.

Although there was two new deathwatch squads and the new flyer.

They also have the new 32mm bases they have been pushing for Space Marines lately.

'The new box sets are really not new'

As Pictors said, first line of his post.

I interpreted his first line to be about the bundles such as the 3 blood angel dreadnoughts, or the different battle companies.

I was responding to his second line

New boxed sets include a specific BA version of the command squad, the assault squad and their own sternguard and vanguard.

There is nothing new about those. They are older box sets with the sprue that I linked/pictured and the 32mm bases instead of 25mm bases.

IE… miniature-wise or model-wise there was NOTHING NEW that was released. Just new books, box artwork, and digital files.

Someone on another forum did a price breakdown in British Pounds on how much you save on the deals.

Firstly, the new BA Vanguard Vets, Sternguard Vets, and Assault Squads are the same as their SM variant but with an extra BA upgrade sprue in; the upgrade sprue is £8.00 GBP separately so the boxes themselves are a good deal if you like the upgrade sprue.

On to the formations, I'll list these in percentage saving order (prices are in GBP, but percentage savings will be similar across other currencies):

Death Company Strike Force: 3 DC, 1 Dread, 1 Chaplain; £80.00 GBP total, individually £109.50 GBP, 27% saving.

Chapter Ancients: 3 Dreads; £65.00 GBP total, individually £84.00 GBP, 23% saving.

Archangels Orbital Intervention Force: 2 BA Termies, 1 SM Termies; £80.00 GBP total, individually £98.00 GBP, 18% saving.

Battle Demi-Company: 1 Dread, 1 Devastator, 1 BA Assault, 1 BA Command, 3 BA Tactical; £162.00 GBP total, individually £190.00 GBP, 15% saving.

Archangels Demi-Company: 1 BA Vanguard, 1 BA Sternguard, 2 Dreads, 2 BA Termies, 1 SM Termies; £197.00 GBP total, individually £215.00 GBP, 8% saving. Note that there is no additional saving over the Archangels Orbital Intervention Force here, without the termies the total cost would be the same price as buying the products individually.

Golden Host and 10th Company Ambush force at £76.50 GBP and £91.00 GBP respectively offer no saving over buying the products individually.
