Colours wargame show tomorrow. Nigel , Rob and i are going along. Thought i would chat about the expectations people have. these notes are based on last years show.Th ground floor is usually very busy with traders and a couple of games. Up one level are more traders and more games. Carpets this time though. A more relaxed atmosphere. Up another level it gets even more relaxed. There are some great games up there along with some competitions. There is usually a bring and buy too. So make sure you get up to the top floor and see what is going along. A good place to relax too. The weather is forecast as a bit poor too. Should be a great show. I am expecting to buy a few tress from tablescape, pick up some stuff for club members at Figures in comfort and Magister. I am looking for some really big explosions for Vietnam gaming. Hope someone can do some photos. martin

Well I have my order to pick up from Peter Pig of course. Along with a few 28mm Eastern Front buildings from Charlie Foxtrot Models. I always like the show, the games are usually interesting and the players more prepared to chat about them than at some other shows. It will be interesting to see what difference the change to a single day event makes. |

Sadly a suspected slipped disk has put me out of the running for Colours this year. It's a shame as I enjoy this event :-( |

All being well I shall be there with the NWS Russian Civil War game |

I hope the one day will stay dynamic, whereas two day shows often become moribund on the second day. Two day shows seem to exist mainly for the benefit of competition players martin |

I prefer two day shows, but these days the social side after a Saturday trading has gone as generally the venues are to far out of town, and the shows generally are not what they where with the growth of the internet |

Was planning to attend, but the resident social secretary overruled me 😕 Got to make up for taking her to see Sausage Party! |

There are no major changes to the show format this year; we did consider a different B&B layout but are sticking with our traditional NRC floor plan. There are some new faces compared with last year. Look for Magister on the first floor, east end. Access is different this year; please see the notes on our web site nrwc.org.uk, though following the usual route in via the A339 will work. Traders and exhibitors have other arrangements. The club is really doing all it can to run the event on a one-day basis; I don't see a return to our old two-day format in the foreseeable future. |

@Martin I really enjoyed Sausage Party, the humour really appealed to me. Alas, the Mrs didn't enjoy it, so got to make amends. |

N, I will go to sausage party on your recommendation…should be fun! At Colours i id buy 20 trees from Tablescape. Very superior! We played Regiment of Foote all day and met some nice players. Picked up a rend's varnish from Figs i Comfort. Picked up Fred's micro armour from m Militum. 37 steps up to the first floor area. Did that 24 times in the day, phew! Enjoyed watching the demo of static grass adherence to basing, great stuff!!!! Dave came by the stand and bought stuff, thanks. Nigel was busy all day behind the stand and sold some stuff too! The goo thing about colours was the large amount of chums one meets! Thank you to Reading club! martin
