Okay, so I am getting interested in doing the airwar over Spain using CY6. However, I definitely want to use aircraft larger than 1/600th. What is out there?

Nick, what type of aircraft will you be using?

I picked 1/300 scale. Am approaching 1000 painted aircraft and have about 400 more to go.

Do not know about the 1/200 scale but you should be able to get the majority of the aircraft used in Spain in 1/300 scale.

Most are available except I think the He100 bomber. Raiden, Scotia and H&R all have good ranges in 1/300th or 1/285th

Dave, I looked at your listing. I did not see too many that would fit in Spain.

Of those two 1/300th is your best bet, there are significant gaps though. As mentioned above I don't think the He 70 "Blitz" is available. Straight of the top off my head other types not available are the Vickers Vincent; Nieuport NiD 52; DeHavilland Rapide; Polikarpov R-5/Z; Fokker Trimotors and the Grumman FF Goblin. Some of these can be proxyed using other models but the SCW still isn't a well covered as I would like in any scale.

I'd only be looking at buying perhaps a dozen planes for each side, so heavy on the basic, workhorse fighter planes.

OK you should be all right if you are willing to proxy the H&R Nieuport-Delage 622 for the earlier NiD 52.

H&R do the Polikarpov R-5 (SA304)
