Oh, that is nice. Big blue demon got eyes on his knees? Whaaaat?

mwindsorfw07 Sep 2016 1:34 p.m. PST

Hey, in Europe, the demons have faces on their backsides. I believe anything goes at this point.

What I don't get it the character wearing a basket on his head. They had the same sort of guy in Big Trouble in Little China.

He's a monk

clibinarium08 Sep 2016 2:58 a.m. PST

A Komusō, an itinerant monk. The flute and the basket are characteristic. The headgear was taken advantage of often by ninja or ronin to travel in disguise. This lead to them being treated with suspicion by the authorities.
Since an actual monk should know the difficult honkyoku flute pieces they were often tested by making them play a piece.

The two swords are incongruous on this figure; not a great attempt at disguise. Mind you its a fantasy game so the rules don't apply.

They're cute, and the artwork is nice, and it IS fantasy, but the pedant in me cannot abide the attachment of the sode in a couple of those pics. A strap at the armpit and another at the bicep? That's just silly. wink
